Route Description Today we continue south along the coastal road; our destination for this stage is Bonifacio.

 |
| We begin by driving along the mountain route through the red cliffs; here, a little caution is required, as this narrow mountain road is not closed to truck traffic. The panorama here is magnificent, and there are frequent pull-offs where you can enjoy the view of these bizarre mountains and the sea stretching out below. |

| You drive through the Calanche, passing the rock formation shaped like a dog's head—the *Tête du Chien*. This stretch is a hallmark of Corsica; bizarre, orange-red rocks define the landscape here. Countless tourists attempt to find a parking spot—anywhere they can—to photograph these rock formations in the best possible light: the evening sun. |

| A small road leads us back through the mountains toward the coast, where we then drive south, winding our way from bay to bay. The further south we travel, the larger the sandy beaches become. In September, these southern beaches are very sparsely visited. We continue once again through the mountains until we reach our destination for the day near Bonifacio. |
