Before reaching the coast, we turn onto a small paved road that leads us inland via a more direct route. We travel through mountains and valleys, then turn onto a small, idyllic paved road. Here, there is virtually no traffic. The road winds slowly up a mountain pass (1,100 meters). Upon reaching the summit, you are treated to a magnificent view of the sea, the harbor towns, and the coastal beaches. A small restaurant up here also invites you to stop and linger for a while.

You follow the winding course of the coastal road, crossing two passes in succession. The road now winds gently downward, skirting small villages. Shortly before reaching Porto, the rather narrow road runs along the coast—passing beneath rocky overhangs—and offers unique, sweeping views down to the sea. This section should be driven with caution—while still taking time to enjoy it—as you may frequently encounter oncoming buses or motorhomes.

The range of accommodation options is quite extensive; several campsites featuring charming tent pitches (seemingly tailor-made for motorcyclists and cyclists), as well as guesthouses and hotels, welcome visitors. The small harbor town invites you to explore its aquarium and Genoese tower.
