Description

The hotels in Albania have a good standard, all are very clean and usually have TV with international channels,

this time we got house wine which really tasted very good.

After a leisurely breakfast we depart very early around 7:30am, first intermediate target were thermal springs that flow into a river. A few kilometers from the hotel, we turned off into a small paved road that we are a few kilometers into the valley before the route turns into a little gravel road.

We reach an impasse at the end of a small Cafe is where residents warmly welcome us. We provide our bike, walk through the old stone bridge over the river and arrive at the other end to the hot spring.

The water here has about 32 degrees, wonderful for swimming and at such an early hour we were alone. After a long bath we sit still in the cafe and drinken a cooked to Turkish style. After another 1/2 hour we set off again, because our route today goes a long way.

It goes over paved road, past mountain massifs and come to a plateau of about 1150 meters above sea level. The road winds uphill and downhill, no traffic, fantastic to drive. After about 50 kilometers we come the middle of the loneliness at a seafood restaurant, spontaneously we stop and eat one of the best fish.

It rains a bit, as it stops again goes our journey further north to today's destination, "Lake Ohrid". All over the country there are small washing places where you can let wash his car, we pay for the complete laundry converted 65 cents. Next we drive now along the beach to find a place to stay.

It is not difficult, because there are plenty of hotels here, we decide to take one a little bit outside. The hotel is located right on the beach with a restaurant. At 17pm we decide to go to swim in the deepest lake of Europe.
