Route Description
In KSAR - Ghilane, head south, where there is a good track to the Ain Essebat campsite, 16 km away. Leave the campsite on your left and continue along the track. In some places, you can drive alongside the track through camel grass, and in some places, small dunes cross the track. In the distance, you can already see some mountains. For this stretch, which lies on the edge of the restricted area, you don't need a permit if you don't drive to the checkpoint in Bir Auoin. A little before the marked campsite, you have to cross some small dune fields. Those with permits for the restricted area can return via the pipeline track. This will pass the Kamur checkpoint, where you can refuel. Unleaded petrol costs 0.96 dinars here, instead of 1.3 dinars as in KSAR. 

We set up camp about 2 km before Bir Aouine.

If you take the pipeline track, a few kilometers after the border post at Kamur, a track continues to the right. More experienced sand riders can certainly get here with a larger enduro bike; enduro tires are required.
