| Imagine standing early in the morning in a small mountain village near Bardonecchia, with mist still hanging over the meadows. Then you start your off-road vehicle or motorcycle and climb the old military road higher and higher until you finally reach Col de Sommeiller. Here, at almost 3,000 meters, a panorama of snow-covered peaks unfolds, and you realize you’ve reached a place that only a few dare to explore. |

September, the route is usually open, but it remains demanding: it climbs up to 2,997 meters, features coarse gravel, and is only suitable for off-road capable vehicles. |
|
You are rarely alone up here; motorcycles, 4x4 vehicles, and others regularly make their way to the top. There is a small lake here, although it is not suitable for swimming. This mountain route is truly an unforgettable experience!!! |
